Our parents, Peachie and Ray Halsey, opened the Green Thumb farmstand
in 1961. It was hard to believe that was over five decades ago! Much has changed during this evolution but what remains constant is the attention to quality produce. The farmstand is open May through November, following
our growing season.

Our focus remains showcasing our home grown, USDA certified organic (NOFA - N.Y. Certified Organic LLC) vegetables, herbs, and fruit; however, over the years we have added shelf items, some of which are locally and artisinally made. We have cheese from Mecox Bay Dairy and Catapano Dairy Farm; coffee roasted on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation; Soap from Southampton Soap Co; and baked goods from Tate’s and Junda’s.
Mary Wolz, famed beekeeper of Bee’s Needs, tends to her hives on our farm, allowing us to have some of the most delicious and healthy honey available
to our customers.
At our farmstand, we also sell herb, vegetable, fruit, and flower plants for
the home garden; again, all our plants are NOFA - N.Y. certified organic
and started in our greenhouses.
